With the Paris Olympics scheduled to kick off in July this year, the City of Lights is expected to welcome 15 million travellers. And while the French capital has no shortage of stunning city hotels if you’re visiting with children and looking for something more, shall we say, magical, then consider booking a stay at the newly reopened Disneyland Hôtel.

After two years of renovations, the property welcomed back guests on January 25. And the result is quite enchanting, even by Disney standards.

“The reopening of Disneyland Hôtel marks a new milestone in the transformation of Disneyland Paris, extending our legacy as a leader in the European tourism industry with a unique blend of storytelling and service excellence, not to mention our exceptional capacity to welcome families,” Natacha Rafalski, president of Disneyland Paris, said in a press release shared with Travel + Leisure. “We are thrilled to unveil this one-of-a-kind five-star property celebrating beloved Disney royalty, which represents one of the most immersive hotels in Europe today.”

Here’s what you can expect at the newly renovated Disneyland Hotel in Paris

The 487-key hotel, located next to Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park just outside of Paris, has been reimagined with all-new interiors inspired by Disney’s most iconic royal stories like Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, and so many more.

Guests are welcomed in a grand lobby clad in marble reminiscent of libraries found in French castles with exquisite finishes, such as a hand-made crystal chandelier. Superior and Deluxe guest rooms feature elegant interiors, luxe bed linens, and whimsical details like crystal boxes and illuminated bed canopies.

However, those who like to splurge and really get the royal treatment should upgrade to the Castle Club, which the company describes as a “hotel within the hotel.” With 41 rooms and 18 suites, occupying the property’s top two floors, it offers a more personalised experience with a separate check-in area, a private elevator, an exclusive lounge, and in-room features such as soaking bathtubs and walk-in closets.

The Princely Suite and the Royal Suite are the most opulent of all accommodations, though. The former, with its lavish baroque decor, fireplace, chandeliers, and ballroom-like living room, invokes Beauty and the Beast, while the latter boasts almost 13,000 square feet of Frozen-inspired spaces, designed after Queen Elsa’s Ice Palace. Think shimmering lights, a stunning “ice” chandelier and a private balcony overlooking the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Naturally, a lot of attention was given to the property’s culinary offerings, which now feature a fine dining eatery, La Table de Lumière, where patrons enjoy chef-prepared meals, such as lobster and freshly caught seafood off the coast of France, in a dining room clad in mirrors and crystal. The food at The Royal Banquet restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet-style meals, pays homage to the global cultures that inspired many of Disney’s movies. There is even a lounge bar with a large selection of mocktails to accommodate the property’s young guests.

The renovated hotel also boasts a new Disneyland Hotel Spa by Clarins, a first in the Disneyland portfolio, with a pool, a kids’ paddling pool, and a hot tub. A gym and a boutique with exclusive Disneyland Paris products round out the on-site facilities.
