World cruises are generating quite the buzz these days, and there’s no sign of them slowing down. Small-ship cruise line Azamara just announced its next big world cruise: a 188-night voyage in 2027.
“For our 2027 World Cruise, we’ve created an incredible route that will bring our guests to the doorsteps of sought-after destinations around the world,” Dondra Ritzenthaler, CEO of Azamara Cruises, said in a statement provided to Travel + Leisure. “Imagine sailing as far south as Stewart Island, New Zealand, and as far north as Helsinki, Finland, all in one cruise.”
Spotlighting Azamara Cruises’ 188-night global voyage

The 702-passenger Azamara Quest will sail from San Francisco on January 5, 2027, and traverse 37 countries across five continents before concluding in Copenhagen on July 12, 2027. The route first leads west across the Pacific toward New Zealand and Australia, then north up the coast of Asia to cities like Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
A second transpacific crossing takes guests up to Alaska, then down the West Coast of North America to the Panama Canal. After transiting the canal, the ship journeys north along the East Coast to Newfoundland, Canada, and finally across the Atlantic to Europe. The adventure concludes with a cruise around the Baltic Sea.
On this World Cruise, guests will visit a blend of iconic cities and lesser-known ports, thanks to Azamara Quest’s smaller size, which allows the ship to access more exclusive locales. Notably, the voyage will include 50 late-night port stays and 15 overnight stops, offering guests ample time to explore a destination beyond a short excursion.
Can’t swing a 188-night vacation? Don’t worry — you can book this cruise by the segment. The full world voyage is split into 12 smaller trips, each lasting two to three weeks. For instance, Segment 7 covers Japan and South Korea, running from April 16 to April 30, 2027. Later on, Segment 12 covers Northern Europe and the Baltic, running from June 28 through July 12, 2027.
But for those who are willing to embark on the full voyage, Azamara is offering a USD 40,000 (HKD 31,14,92) incentive package to sweeten the deal. Guests booking the entire 188-night cruise will receive a USD 8,500 (HKD 66,192) onboard credit, unlimited laundry service, complimentary onboard medical consultations, free Wi-Fi, and a premium beverage package. Plus, pre-cruise perks include airfare credit and a USD 500 (HKD 3,893) luggage shipping reimbursement.
Prices for the full Azamara 2027 World Cruise start at USD 49,279 (HKD 38,37,50) per person for an interior cabin and go up to USD 180,309 (HKD 14,04,121) per person for a Club World Owner’s Suite; book now at azamara.com.
