Life is full of tough choices, isn’t it? But soon, cruisers won’t have to choose between good and evil as Disney Cruise Line just announced its new ship: Disney Destiny.

Disney shared that the ship design will be themed around legendary Disney heroes and villains, including those of Pixar and Marvel. The vessel will draw “on the legacy of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions, to forge a cruise vacation that will empower guests to embrace their own calling aboard every unforgettable voyage.”

Disney Destiny is the third vessel in the liner’s Triton class of ships. It will join the Disney Wish, which debuted in the summer of 2022, and the soon-to-debut Disney Treasure.

“The Disney Destiny will celebrate our most legendary Disney stories and characters, bringing them to life in new and exciting ways exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests,” Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line, said in a press release shared with Travel + Leisure. “As we continue to expand our fleet, the Disney Destiny will further strengthen our position as a leader in family cruising as we offer even more ways for families to experience Disney magic and world-class service at sea.”

A partnership between Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering, the “teams were inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose when developing the Disney Destiny.” Ship spaces, Broadway-style entertainment, and experiences will be inspired by some of Walt Disney Animation Studios biggest films, including “Hercules,” “The Lion King,” and “One Hundred and One Dalmatians.”

Disney unveiled exterior images and a brand-new filigree artwork for the bow of the ship, which is a Disney Cruise Line signature design tradition. The image depicts Minnie Mouse in a commanding, hero-inspired pose while donning her signature bow, along with a cape.

The Disney Destiny is currently being built at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. No announcements have been made on its itinerary or on-sale bookings.
