The Rome-based Balloon Museum is bringing its highly sought-after ‘Pop Air’ exhibit to the Lion City. Overflowing with towering inflatables, dramatic lighting, and inspiring installations, this innovative exhibition will be hosted by Marina Bay Sands from June 13 to August 31, 2025.

Tip-toe through a world of creativity where you will not only enjoy the art but become a part of it. From navigating through balloon labyrinths and diving into bubbly pools to learning about the evolution of inflatable art at the video gallery — there’s no room for a dull moment at Pop Air.

The video gallery — a must-visit for art connoisseurs — will take you through the early experiments by the Montgolfier brothers, contemporary icons like Jeff Koons’ Balloon Dog, and much more.

This exhibit at Marina Bay Sands will house striking installations and artworks by the bigwigs of inflatable art, such as:

  • Cyril Lancelin: His featured art, ‘Knot’, is a well-wound design inspired by the clover knot.
  • Karina Smigla-Bobinski: Her artwork ‘POLYHEADRA’ is an intricate display of PVC tubes and magnetic rings.
  • Hyperstudio: The team at Hyperstudio, in collaboration with Quiet Ensemble, presents the event’s centrepiece installation, ‘Hypercosmo’ — a 1,000 sqm showcase featuring latex balloons, kinetic lights, and video projections.
