Starting on March 1, 2025, citizens of Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic can enjoy visa-free travel to Vietnam for tourism purposes until December 31, 2025. This visa exemption policy allows for a temporary stay of up to 45 days and aims to boost Vietnam’s travel and tourism sector significantly.
Previously, travellers from these countries required an e-visa for entry into Vietnam, permitting stays of up to 90 days. The new exemption policy eliminates this visa requirement to visit Vietnam.

The new visa-free policy will also apply to tours organised by international travel service providers in Vietnam, according to the news portal of the Vietnam Government.
This move expands Vietnam’s existing visa-free travel programme, which already includes 13 other countries: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Belarus. Citizens of these countries can also enter Vietnam visa-free for tourism purposes with a maximum stay of 45 days allowed.
Vietnam is among the leading destinations in Southeast Asia. In 2024, the country welcomed over 17.5 million international arrivals, marking a 39.5 percent increase from 2023. The nation intends to elevate this figure further in 2025, aiming to attract 22 to 23 million international tourists, thus exceeding pre-pandemic levels. Introducing visa exemption policies is a key strategy to achieve this goal, making travel to Vietnam more accessible and attracting a larger number of visitors.
