For a vacation laden with water parks, quad biking, and sand skiing, turn to Dubai. For a holiday seeped in luxe (and thrift) shopping haunts and gold souks, consider Dubai too. Add to that a vivifying dose of beachcombing and eateries, and Dubai still remains a strong contender. Simply put, if you’re seeking a wholesome holiday with your friends, folks, or even solo, trust Dubai to play the perfect host. In this story, we break down the rough cost of taking a trip to Dubai from Hong Kong: flights, hotels, tourist attractions, and visa applications included.

November to March promise the best weather and peak tourist activity in Dubai. For slightly lesser crowds and moderate weather, consider the months of April, May, September, and October. From a budget point of view, June, July, and August are the most affordable months to vacation in the Emirati city, owing to high temperatures and scantier crowds.

The ideal trip duration to savour it all

After much deliberation, we’ve concluded that the ideal trip duration to gauge the pulse of Dubai and enjoy its key attractions is four to five days. It is sufficient time to dip your toes in adventures, explore the artificial islands of Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebe Ali, Bluewaters Island, Deira Islands, and the World Islands, indulge in some retail therapy, and dine at Michelin-starred restaurants.

The cost we’ve calculated in this story is for three nights, and four days.
